Discipleship

At Corban University, you’ll encounter Christ at every corner. We look to God’s Word as our foundation in all we know and do, seeking to honor Him in all things.

Within Corban’s community of believers who will guide, teach, and disciple you as Christ works in you, you’ll see your faith grow into something abiding, personal, and meaningful.

“Corban has been one of the most dynamic, important parts of my spiritual life. The Christian faith is intertwined with everything that Corban does. I can’t think of one thing that isn’t impacted by people’s relationship with Christ.” – Hannah Mozingo, English ’23

What is a Discipleship University?

Corban exists to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. We carry out this mission as a discipleship university where, together, we live for Christ.

Every student who enrolls at Corban has a personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, and every aspect of a Corban education is designed to support students as they discover the part they play in God’s plan.

At Corban, you can expect:

  • A micro-community (3-5 close friends) of like-minded peers who have committed their lives to Christ.
  • Opportunities multiple times per week to hear teaching from respected Christian leaders and to worship together as a community during chapel and worship nights.
  • An invitation to join a Bible study each semester.
  • Encouragement to attend a local, Bible-believing church.
  • A faculty or staff member to mentor and encourage you as you “run the race.”
  • Consistent commitment to biblical authority and fidelity, along with teaching that reinforces the evangelical perspectives and values taught in Christian homes.
  • Consistent messaging on the importance of serving others out of Christian compassion and opportunities to serve.
  • Faculty and staff who lead by example to influence and educate you in consistent spiritual disciplines such as prayer, daily devotions, and memorization of Scripture.
  • Student events, activities, and policies that align with the expectations of a Christ-centered, God-honoring community.
