Townhouses

Located on the corner of Deer Park Drive and Aumsville Highway, the townhouses provide a more independent housing option with all the convenience of campus.

Lease agreements are available for graduate students, married students (and up to two dependents), and traditional undergraduate students enrolled who are eligible for off-campus exemptions.

On-campus eligible students may apply to live in the townhouses at a per-semester rate and are required to purchase a meal plan.

Events

Townhouses are on campus but offer a housing experience similar to off-campus housing. The townhouses function and operate independently of residential life staff programming, but students are encouraged to participate in events and opportunities for our commuter community.

Corban hosts many different events across campus, including events to build community specifically for our commuter students. These events are posted monthly in the Commuter Lounge and Solarium and sent out to each commuter student email. Events for commuters range from Bible studies to shared meals on and off campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for the townhouses?

Graduate students, married students (spouse and dependents), and students enrolled in any traditional undergraduate (TUG) program. TUG students who meet off-campus eligibility requirements may choose a townhouse lease agreement. TUG students who are on-campus eligible will have a per-semester rate and a meal plan.

How can I apply for a bedroom in a townhouse?

Submit an application through Populi.

  • Townhouse assignments are determined on first-come, first-served basis.
  • Each student must apply.
  • If eligible for a lease option, each student must sign a lease.

NOTE: Because each student submits an application, you will be able to apply for a space for yourself.

How much will a townhouse cost?

Costs are dependent on the townhouse layout selected and whether you are entering a lease agreement or an on-campus housing agreement. Refer to the Tuition & Fees page for current pricing.

How many students can live in each townhouse?

Each townhouse has two bedrooms. For lease agreements, each bedroom will be single occupancy, with the exception of married students and their dependents (with a max capacity of 4). For on-campus eligible students, number of residents per townhouse will vary based on occupancy needs as bedrooms may be either double- or single-occupancy, with 3-4 students per townhouse.

What is included in my monthly lease cost?

All utilities, even WiFi, are included in the monthly lease cost (water, garbage, heat).

Are students required to have a meal plan in the Dining Hall?

Students who are eligible for a lease agreement are not required to have a meal plan but are welcome to sign up for one should they desire to do so. On-campus eligible students are required to have a meal plan.

How are the leases managed?

Student Life will oversee all things related to leases and a student’s experience in the townhouses.

How will I be billed?

Students on a lease agreement will be billed on a monthly basis. On-campus eligible students will be charged at the beginning of each semester, along with tuition and other fees.

Will there be a Resident Assistant or Townhouse Manager?

No. Although the townhouses are open to faculty/staff, and Student Life may have staff living in a townhouse, the townhouses will function and operate independently of residential life staff programming. Campus Safety and Campus Care will continue to provide their oversight of the townhouses related to their respective areas.
