Commencement 2025

We know that you have been working hard to reach this important milestone in your educational journey. Congratulations on arriving at the end of this chapter! It is a significant accomplishment, and we are so proud of you.

Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, Corban University, 5000 Deer Park Dr SE, Salem, OR 97317.

Check-in Times

Graduates should check in 45 minutes before the start time for your ceremony. Times and locations will be announced closer to graduation.

Tickets

Each graduate will be given tickets at Grad Finale. Graduates will receive six tickets to invite guests to the event. Tickets are not required for children under 2 years of age.

Special Accommodations Seating

Guests who need special accommodations during the ceremony for a disability or mobility challenges please reserve your seating here. Please make your reservation no later than April 1st. Getting Your Cap & Gown

Your cap, gown, and diploma cover are available at Grad Finale on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. in the Emitte Center (SC212). Caps, gowns, and cords will NOT be available for pick-up on the day of Commencement.

Rehearsal

Check-in time for graduates is 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. This is a tight timeline so please be on time. A brief time of instructions will be given following the check-in prior to the start of the ceremony.

  • Arrive with your cap and gown on.
  • Check in to pick up your name card and seating section assignment and be directed to the Commencement staging area.
  • Eat before you come. No food will be available at Commencement.
  • Leave personal items with a family member. There is no storage for personal belongings at the event.

Diplomas

You will not receive your diploma at graduation. Diplomas will be mailed to graduates 6-8 weeks after Commencement if all degree requirements have been fulfilled and there is no outstanding financial obligation to the University. August and December grads should have already received diplomas in the mail.

Photographs

GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement and will be taking individual photos of each graduate. Proofs will be sent by email 3-5 days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone, or by mail.

Registering with GradImages provides them with the information they need to deliver your graduation proofs to you in a timely manner. Giving them an accurate mailing address and email address will allow them to get your proofs to you on the first try. Type in: “Corban University” for event and fill in the blanks. By pre-registering, you can receive a coupon code for 20% off.

NWCCU ACCREDITATION

Corban University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and completed a Year-Seven Comprehensive (Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE)) in 2022 for continued accreditation. The comprehensive self-study was followed by an onsite evaluation in October 2022. In February 2023, Corban received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 7 years. Corban University’s last Mid-Cycle Evaluation was fall 2018, and its Policies, Regulations and Financial Review (PRFR) was completed in fall 2021. As of our most recent evaluation, Corban University is compliant with the Standards, Policies, and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU.
