Lydia Deatherage

Lydia discovered Corban University all on her own. Her parents had both gone to a Christian college in Florida, and up until January of Lydia’s senior year, they had thought she would do the same. Her mother had stopped setting aside all of her college mail—the postcards, pamphlets, and brochures now went straight into the trash.

Nikki Triestan

“The ‘e’ is silent,” says Nikki Triestan, referring to the fourth letter in her last name. Although she is Indonesian by passport, she’s Chinese by birth, and in Chinese culture, names must have a balanced number of strokes—particular combinations of even and odd numbers in the first and last name.

Girl with books

In a serious move to put students at the center of its budget strategy, Corban University has adopted a tuition freeze for 2019-20. This decision comes on the heels of a year-long re-engineering of Corban’s budget, which has placed the University in the most favorable financial position they’ve seen in 10 years.

Sense and Sensibility

“I’m always anxious to get a good husband for every pretty girl.”
Thus says Mrs. Jennings (Rachel Stadeli), the busybody and wishful matchmaker, who would have loved to be the architect of every romantic attachment in “Sense and Sensibility” (adapted for the stage by Emma Whipday).

NWCCU ACCREDITATION

Corban University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and completed a Year-Seven Comprehensive (Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE)) in 2022 for continued accreditation. The comprehensive self-study was followed by an onsite evaluation in October 2022. In February 2023, Corban received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 7 years. Corban University’s last Mid-Cycle Evaluation was fall 2018, and its Policies, Regulations and Financial Review (PRFR) was completed in fall 2021. As of our most recent evaluation, Corban University is compliant with the Standards, Policies, and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU.
