What about Corban specifically prepared you for this next step in your journey?

Corban gave me a wide and deep biblical, academic, and leadership foundation, preparing me to succeed in Vet School and beyond.

What’s one thing you would want to tell someone starting their journey at Corban?

Invest deeply in your time at Corban academically, spiritually, personally, and professionally. It is a significant stepping stone for the rest of your life.

Who is one professor who had a strong influence on your development? Can you give an example?

Professor Johnson, Professor Bell, Dr. Dyer, and Dr. Daniel all invested deeply into my science education which was the core of my time at Corban. They supported and encouraged me as I pursued Veterinary Medicine. The Health Science department has grown significantly since my graduation, but they did not allow limited resources to hinder me in obtaining my goals.

How were faith, leadership, and ethics woven into your courses? How did those elements prepare you for life, regardless of where you work?

Every course, whether it was a science class, math class, business class, history class, English class, or Bible class, focused on how the material we studied related to the Character of God and the truths of His word. The solid faith foundation I received allowed me to survive the spiritual warfare and persecution in a very academic and atheistic vet school. The Biblical Studies minor I received has served daily as a compass to my daily life personally and professionally.
