MARCOM SERVICES
CONTACT: marcom@corban.edu
The Office of Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) supports the creative communication needs of the University through graphic design, videography, photography, website development, social media management, writing, proofing, and printing service coordination. The resources below are available to all staff, faculty, and student leaders for University projects.
All communication and marketing pieces that represent Corban, including postcards, brochures, posters, newsletters, e-newsletters, mass email, and advertising, must meet the University’s branding guidelines and receive approval from MARCOM before being distributed.
-
The detailed guidelines can be found in the Brand Style Guide.
Whenever possible, Corban’s primary University logo should be utilized when a logo is needed. However, there are instances where unique logos and icons for departments, programs, or events may be appropriate. To request a logo, contact MARCOM. To have a new logo created, please submit a Project Request.
-
We will make sure your project accomplishes your goals while representing Corban’s brand well. To start a design project, please submit a Project Request, including all necessary assets and direction in order for the work to be completed.
Requests must be submitted at least three weeks in advance for new projects and two weeks in advance for updates to existing projects. If your project is urgent, contact MARCOM after submitting your project request and we will do our best to accommodate your needs as other priorities and deadlines allow.
-
Submit an Event & Fundraising Support Request to request a registration form and promotion of your event.
MARCOM (and Advancement, as applicable) will work with you to create a registration form and follow-up communication for registrants, promote the event to appropriate audiences, and ensure you have all the elements you need for a successful event or fundraiser.
For the best success in building awareness and participation for your event, please submit this form at least 6 weeks in advance of your event. Marketing support may be more limited for events occurring less than 6 weeks from your request, but please still submit the form. Please note: If this is an on-campus event, a Corban Event Request Form (CERF) must be submitted and approved before requesting marketing support. If specific materials are required for your event (postcards, flyers, etc.), be sure to also submit a Project Request for all graphic design and print needs.
-
MARCOM also maintains a photo archive of current and historic images for use in a variety of University projects. Submit a Photography Request to schedule a photo shoot or to request photos for official use. For Athletics photos, please coordinate with the Director of Athletics Communications.

Submit a Website Update Request for edits to existing web pages as well as the creation of new pages.
In most cases, updates will be made within 48 hours but can take up to seven days. Edits to custom pages that require coding or images may take longer, and our Web Manager will communicate the expected timeline to you. New page requests will be evaluated in light of overall institutional priorities and a projected timeline will be provided to you.
-
To have your event or information promoted on these slides, please complete a TV Monitor Request. You may submit your own slide, which is subject to approval by MARCOM, or you may have MARCOM create a slide for you.
Please submit your request at least 2 business days prior to your preferred posting date or 2 weeks prior if you need design services.
-
If you have something you would like us to share, please submit a Social Media Post Request. Your request will be reviewed for alignment with University priorities, social media policies, and overall social media strategy and posted at MARCOM’s discretion. Please note that not all requests may be approved.
If you would like to create an account for your department or area, please submit a Secondary Account Request. Note that these accounts are approved on a limited basis and must adhere to Corban’s social media policy.
-
Not all video requests can be approved due to limited resources, and each request will be considered based on purpose, audience, and alignment with University priorities. Please submit a Video Request at least 4 weeks prior to your desired delivery date for video projects.
-
MARCOM coordinates the processing of these mailings with a third-party vendor. Please submit a Project Request for assistance with a bulk mailing.
-
As part of its regular duties, MARCOM discovers and writes news and feature stories about the University and its staff, faculty, and students that promote the brand and mission of the University. These stories may be utilized as appropriate by other University departments. We also welcome leads for great stories! Story leads and requests for news articles, press releases, and marketing copy may be submitted to MARCOM with a Project Request.
-
You may also email MARCOM to request proofing and editing of letters and University communication for external audiences. Please allow two business days for most proofing requests.
-
You may request quantities of 100, 250, 500, or 1,000, and costs will be charged to your department. Supervisors may submit a Business Card Request.
