Professional

Dr. Wilson has been at Corban since 2006. Before that, he had a number of teaching assignments including stints at private prep schools, George Fox, and College of the Ozarks. He has studied and taught at length overseas. He spent time in Italy, having received a Fulbright Grant for a year’s study in Florence, and an NEH grant for study of Francis of Assisi. At Corban, he instructs a range of humanities and literature classes, including History of Western Art and a Shakespeare in Film and Performance class.

Personal

Beyond family, faith, and friends (and grading papers!), John spends as much time as he can hiking, skiing, traveling, and playing various racquet sports.

NWCCU ACCREDITATION

Corban University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and completed a Year-Seven Comprehensive (Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE)) in 2022 for continued accreditation. The comprehensive self-study was followed by an onsite evaluation in October 2022. In February 2023, Corban received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 7 years. Corban University’s last Mid-Cycle Evaluation was fall 2018, and its Policies, Regulations and Financial Review (PRFR) was completed in fall 2021. As of our most recent evaluation, Corban University is compliant with the Standards, Policies, and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU.
