Christian Educator Conference

Christian Educator Conference

October 11, 2024, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

(Oregon statewide in-service day)

Corban University’s School of Education is excited to welcome educators from Christian schools to our 2nd annual Christian Educator Conference, a one-day event designed to encourage, empower, and equip!

On this statewide in-service day, we’ll spend the day learning together in keynote and breakout sessions, connecting with other teachers in similar content areas and grade levels, collaborating in small groups, and encouraging each other as educators and Christians.

Registration is now closed.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Dave Mulder

Dr. Dave Mulder currently serves as Professor and Department Chair in Education at Dordt University, where he teaches courses in educational technology, STEM education, and educational foundations. He previously served as a middle school math, science, and computer science teacher in Christian schools in California and Iowa, and was Technology Director of a PreK-8 Christian school. He earned his doctoral degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University, and continues to conduct research in digital citizenship, social presence in online learning, and technology integration in PreK-20 educational settings. He cohosts the Hallway Conversations podcast, and provides professional development experiences for educators in schools across North America.

Dr. Dave is a learner and a thinker, and has a wide range of interests both within and outside of education. He is a voracious reader, an avid cyclist, a mediocre guitarist, an amateur geographer, and a self-described sci-fi geek.

What to Expect

The Corban Christian Educator Conference will be a time of connection, collaboration, and learning about the craft of teaching. Participants will have a variety of opportunities throughout the day, including times of networking, discussion, learning, sharing, and worship.
