Practical Learning
The government is not and should not be run like a corporation. The stakes, expectations, and repercussions are much higher. Managing people, projects, and processes in the public sector requires different skill sets than in the private sector. Through this program, students will learn to manage, develop, and serve people as much as policies and programs so that they are equipped to build teams to accomplish practical administrative goals. Courses in the Master of Public Administration include:
- Finance Reporting and Control
- Leadership and Organizational Behavior
- Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship
- Public Sector Human Resource Management
- Managing Public Sector Institutions
- Public Sector Research and Reporting
Through the MPA program, you will be prepared for a successful career in public service leadership and will gain a holistic understanding of public institutions, policy processes, and program administration from a biblical worldview. As a graduate, you will be ready to competently and creatively lead diverse teams to address public challenges with fiscal and social responsibility.
