Why Study Agriculture at Corban?

Corban is the only Christian university in the Pacific Northwest with an agriculture science program.

At Corban, you’ll get a practical, hands-on ag education from a biblical worldview so that you can make a difference in the world. You will learn to investigate new ideas and research, and engage meaningfully with rising global challenges, from a mindset that truly values ethics and sustainability because it is rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

Corban’s 205-acre campus in Oregon’s Willamette Valley also provides a stunning, agriculturally-diverse environment to prepare students to make a difference. The Willamette Valley—and Oregon as a whole—is a prime location to study agriculture with its eight distinct growing regions, healthy rainfall, and prominent role in myriad industries, including greens (greenhouse, grass seed, nursery plants, Christmas trees); farm (hay, cattle, dairy); and food (blueberries, pears, potatoes, hazelnuts, peppermint, Dungeness crab).

“Going to a college in Oregon where I could study agriculture and grow in my faith—those were the three most important things for me, and I definitely knew that this was where God was leading me.”
– Isabel D’Acquisto, 2021-2022 Oregon FFA President
